SAPPORO GRAND HOTEL, Sapporo – A Smart Stay in the City

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were a decent size for Japan, especially considering the price we paid. However, being in the annex block meant the lift lobby was a bit of a walk from the main lobby, and we had to return our room key each time we left the property for security reasons.

The hotel is located perfectly for easy access to the subway and train stations, making it convenient for transportation. The rooms are spacious and well laid out, but some may find them too small, requiring creative luggage placement. The friendly and helpful concierge adds a personal touch to the service. However, language barriers and lack of knowledge about local sites could be improved. The direct access to underground links to key spots like Sapporo Station and Odori Park enhances the overall experience.

The hotel offers a spacious and luxurious triple bedroom with an enormous TV and beautifully equipped bathroom stocked with luxury toiletries, ideal for accommodating 4 people comfortably, especially for taller guests over 6 feet. The rooms are very spacious, with 4 large single beds and a lounge area, perfect for lingering or inviting friends to stay. The service is friendly with great customer focus, although there might be limitations due to English communication. The location is superb, allowing easy access to Sapporo landmarks, the winter festival venue, and nearby train stations. The dining experience offers fresh and delightful dishes, especially the yummy Pork Belly. The facilities are well-equipped to ensure a pleasant stay.
